Jayavarman is the flagship of Heritage Line’s unique ship collection. Its interior design features a charming French-Colonial theme accented with stylish Khmer elements. Public areas are adorned with fine objets d’art, creating the ambiance of a floating art gallery. The welcoming atmosphere makes guests feel at home from the moment they step aboard. An open kitchen adds a distinctive flair to the culinary experience on board. The ship sails the lower Mekong between Vietnam and Cambodia on various itineraries.

The ship is named after “Jayavarman VII,” one of the greatest Khmer rulers, the ship honors his legacy as a benevolent king, art enthusiast, and devout Buddhist. Jayavarman VII was married to Princess Jayaradhevi and later to her sister Indradevi, both deeply spiritual and influential women. Indradevi, in particular, was a cultured woman who played a significant role in state affairs and education. Jayavarman VII’s 30-year reign was marked by military success and architectural achievements, including the construction of Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, and the Bayon temple, known for its iconic Buddha faces that are believed to bear his serene smile. This legacy of harmony and benevolence is reflected in the smiles of Cambodians today.
