Once you’re refreshed, embark on a leisurely walk through the picturesque streets of Vientiane. As the day winds down, we’ll head to the banks of the majestic Mekong River to witness a stunning sunset, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, we’ll dive into the rich history and culture of Vientiane. Our first stop is Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in the city, boasting over 8,000 intricately carved Buddha statues. Next, we visit Wat Ho Phra Keo, a former royal temple that once housed the revered Emerald Buddha. As we continue, we’ll admire That Luang, Laos’ national symbol and most sacred monument, glistening in the sunlight.

Our journey then takes us to Patuxay, Vientiane’s very own Arc de Triomphe, where you can climb to the top for panoramic views of the city. After a traditional lunch, we venture to the enchanting Buddha Park, filled with over 200 intriguing Buddhist and Hindu sculptures, each with its own story. As the sun sets once more, we’ll enjoy another spectacular view over the Mekong River, creating a perfect end to our day of exploration.

Today, we catch an early morning flight to Pakse, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to the stunning Bolaven Plateau. Renowned for its cool climate and lush landscapes, this region offers a refreshing escape from the heat. We’ll explore the area’s breathtaking waterfalls, including the impressive twin cascades of Tad Fan and the scenic Tad Yuang. These falls plunge into deep gorges surrounded by verdant jungle, providing perfect photo opportunities.

After breakfast, we set out to explore the enchanting Khong Island and its surroundings. Our first stop is Done Det and Done Khone, where remnants of the French colonial era linger, adding a historical touch to the natural beauty. As we cruise through the stunning 4000 Islands, we’ll visit the captivating Li Phi waterfall, also known as Samphamith, which forms a natural border between Laos and Cambodia.

After a relaxing boat trip, we’ll return to Ban Nakasang and make our way to the magnificent Khong Pha Pheng waterfall, the largest in Southeast Asia, often referred to as the “Niagara of the East.” This powerful cascade is a sight to behold, and the perfect way to end our day of exploration.

Next, we’ll visit Wat Sene, the city’s oldest temple, and the exquisite Wat Xieng Thong, renowned for its ornate architecture and vibrant mosaics.

Our journey continues to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and Wat Mai, each offering unique insights into the spiritual life of the city. In the evening, we cross the Mekong River to explore Wat Chompet, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the city and visit the lively Night Market, filled with handmade crafts and local treasures.
