On July 22-23, 2024, Chào Asia Travel took an exciting step towards a greener future by participating in the Sustainable Tourism Training for Tour Operators & Travel Agents in Hanoi, hosted by Travelife. Travelife, recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), offers a comprehensive certification program that guides tour operators and travel agents through three progressive stages: Travelife Engaged, Travelife Partner, and Travelife Certified. Currently, Chào Asia Travel is proudly at stage 1 – Travelife Engaged, and we are diligently working towards achieving stage 2 – Travelife Partner, driven by our unwavering commitment to sustainability. This dynamic two-day training was a treasure trove of insights, led by the brilliant minds of facilitators Peter Richards and Chaba Chaijaree, and enriched by the enthusiastic participation of industry peers.
Imagine a world where travel doesn’t compromise safety or comfort but harmonizes with nature, uplifts local communities, and fuels economic growth. That’s the essence of sustainable tourism, a concept we explored deeply during the training. It’s about crafting journeys that leave footprints of joy and preservation, not exploitation.
