Sousdei and welcome to Siem Reap, Cambodia! Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in (Standard check-in time is from 14:00). Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, exploring the pub streets at night or relaxing at your hotel after the tiring flight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we’ll visit a local pagoda, where you can bask in the tranquil morning while exploring its remarkable architecture and delving deeper into Cambodia’s Buddhist traditions through conversations with the monks and the guide. Following this enlightening experience, you’ll participate in the cherished tradition of alms offering and monk blessing ceremony. The monk will gently chant blessings, sprinkle holy water, and delicately place a protective bracelet on your wrist, symbolizing protection from negative energies and bestowing blessings of health and fortune upon you and your loved ones. Next, we’ll journey to the pier on the city’s outskirts, boarding a quaint boat for a serene cruise across the expansive Tonle Sap Lake, renowned as Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. As you cruise along its tranquil surface, you’ll encounter a captivating floating village with floating stilt houses, restaurants, and even a school. Return to the pier where our driver awaits. On the way back, we will stop by Artisans Angkor, also known as Artisans d’Angkor, where you will find a wide range of authentic handmade products crafted by Cambodian artists. Established in 1999, this social enterprise was established to revive traditional Khmer craftsmanship and provide sustainable employment opportunities for rural Cambodian artisans.
Return to your hotel to refresh before joining the traditional Khmer dinner with an Apsara dance at a local restaurant. Rooted in Hindu mythology, Apsara (which means ‘celestial spirit’ or ‘water nymph’) tells legends and religious tales through the graceful movements of the dancers’ hands and feet, accompanied by traditional customs. This performance is recognized as UNESCO’s World Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today, we will start our journey to the captivating town of Battambang, the first Cambodian city to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Established in the 11th century, Battambang flourished as a vibrant center of commerce, and to this day, the city still retains its unique charm.

Constructed in the 11th century, this temple is the most well-maintained Khmer temple in Battambang Province. Its notable feature comprises five towers, reminiscent of the grandeur seen in the renowned Angkor Wat temple. Nestled at the foot of the mountain is a staircase constructed from laterite, adorned with protective serpent sculptures known as nagas.
